Week 1

Fri 1st – DR Congo
Pray for Sandrine (HEAL’s sponsorship coordinator) and her family. Sandrine’s grandmother passed away two months ago and now her mother is going through some challenges with her job. Pray that God would comfort the family and help Sandrine as she supports her mother at this time.

Sat 2nd – Uganda
Praise God for the volunteers – Anna, Christine and Naila – who have been working as part of the Wakisa team over the last five months. They have added immense value to the team and everyone has learnt a lot from each other during this time.

Sun 3rd – India
Praise God that BCM’s Child Care Centre has reopened and is regularly caring for around 40 kids so their parents can work to support their families.

Mon 4th – WorldShare
Praise God for Stuart Harris as he wraps up his time as Chair of the WorldShare Board after nine years of service. Praise God for working through Stuart as he helped lead and guide our organisation through many seasons and an era of transformation. Pray that God would bless Stuart and his family in their new season together and for many more to come.

Tue 5th – Cambodia
Pray for Mrs. Kim Kakada, the wife of Sunshine’s Executive Director. She has been unwell over the past few months. Pray that God may give her complete healing soon.

Wed 6th – Uganda
Pray for the members of CFM’s village savings and loan associations (VSLAs) in Buduma and Khatsonga who recently had members of their group pass away.

Thu 7th – DR Congo
Praise God that the recent upgrades to Ephphatha’s audiology room have proved to be a great blessing to the deaf community of North Kivu.

Week 2

Fri 8th – Uganda
Praise God for Faith Kainza who has long been working as a volunteer accounts assistant for CFM. Praise God that CFM was recently able to offer her a paid role in their finance team.

Sat 9th – DR Congo
Praise God for Pastor Balingo (head of chaplaincy at HEAL), who recently completed a PhD. Pray that God might work through this phenomenal achievement to bless HEAL’s chaplains and the vulnerable communities they serve.

Sun 10th – Cambodia
Pray for the families that Sunshine serve. Pray that God would provide them with stable incomes in the wake of lockdowns. Most of them have had to take on debts to provide for their families in recent times.

Mon 11th – WorldShare
Praise God for Glen Richardson, WorldShare’s new Board Chair. Glen has extensive experience as a leader in faith-based organisations, and is passionate about our integral mission to show and share Jesus’ love to the outcast and forgotten.

Tue 12th – India
Praise God for the BCM community workers running extensive Covid awareness programs across eight villages. Pray that God would bless their efforts and keep them safe.

Wed 13th – DR Congo
Continue praying for the hunger crisis in the DR Congo. As a result of the ongoing civil conflict and the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, over 27 million people are facing acute hunger with 6.7 million of them on the cusp of famine.

Thu 14th – Uganda
Praise God for a bountiful harvest at the Wakisa centre, where the girls have been enjoying eating beans, potatoes, greens and maize from their agricultural garden.

Week 3

Fri 15th – DR Congo
Praise God for HEAL Africa’s Mercy Fund, which covers the medical bills of the most vulnerable patients admitted to the HEAL Africa hospital. Pray that God might heal and comfort all the hospital’s patients through his mighty hands.

Sat 16th – Uganda
Praise God for the ongoing success of CFM’s Mafudu agricultural project, even throughout Covid lockdowns. Pray that this would continue for the new group of participants that recently joined the project.

Sun 17th – World
Praise God that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Praise God that Jesus has conquered death and we can have a right relationship with God, now and for eternal life.

Mon 18th – India
Pray for the BCM students who are graduating this month. Pray for God’s guidance and support as they move on to university and work.

Tue 19th – Cambodia
Pray for courage, confidence and capacity for all Sunshine Cambodia staff as they look to improve and expand their programs this year. Pray that God would bless their efforts to keep children in these communities safe from abuse.

Wed 20th – Uganda
Pray for Wakisa as they are looking to recruit for two positions at the organisation. Pray that God would provide good candidates and help them find the right person for each role.

Thu 21st – DR Congo
Pray for the construction and repair projects Ephphatha is planning for this year including more classrooms for the secondary school and a new hall for the vocational training program.

Week 4

Fri 22nd – Uganda
Continue praying for CFM’s field officer Allan Angura who is suffering from an unknown eye condition that is causing irritation and affecting his eyesight. Pray for God’s healing over him.

Sat 23rd – DR Congo
Pray for God’s protection over the children in HEAL Africa’s programs. Pray that he might continue to keep them safe from the violence, unrest and kidnappings that have become far too common in recent years.

Sun 24th – Cambodia
Pray for the three Sunshine staff members who rely on income from their wives’ small business to help support their families. Pray that God would continue to bless these businesses at this uncertain time so these members can continue serving at Sunshine.

Mon 25th – WorldShare
Praise God for Katelyn Barakat, WorldShare’s new Vice Board Chair. Katelyn is an experienced HR professional, and she loves seeing the power of people coming together to bring about positive change.

Tue 26th – India
Pray for BCM’s leadership team as they come together to make plans for the rest of this year. Pray that God would lead them and work through them to transform lives.

Wed 27th – DR Congo
Praise God for everyone at Ephphatha who continue to show Jesus’ love to the deaf community of North Kivu amidst incredibly challenging conditions.

Thu 28th – Uganda
Praise God for the vocational training students at Wakisa. Pray that they can stay motivated and committed to the classes despite the uncertainties (around lockdowns and employment opportunities) that Covid has brought to the region.

Week 5

Fri 29th – DR Congo
Continue praying for the HEAL team as they launch a new outreach and evangelism project, which will provide reconciliation and trauma counselling in vulnerable communities.

Sat 30th – Uganda
Pray for our ministry partners and vulnerable communities in Uganda as the prices of fuel and other commodities have risen sharply because of the pandemic.
