Week 1

Fri 1st – DR Congo
In recent weeks heavy fighting has broken out between the DR Congolese Army and M23 rebel forces in the Eastern DR Congo, where our ministry partners, HEAL Africa and Ephphatha, live and serve. Pray for God’s peace and protection over our partners and the innocent people caught up in this conflict. 

Sat 2nd – India
Pray for Malar (one of BCM’s social workers) who recently lost her husband to encephalitis. Pray that God would comfort and look after Malar and her two children through this painful and challenging time.    

Sun 3rd – Uganda
Pray for those at Wakisa today who are taking part in their annual day of prayer and fasting. Pray that God would work in them as they spend time focusing on his word and his will for their lives.

Mon 4th – WorldShare
Please pray for our Finance and Operations Officer, Dinuka, whose two-year-old son, Shaun, has to go for a bone-marrow biopsy this month. Pray for God’s strength and comfort for Dinuka and her family as they face this and pray that his results will be normal.

Tue 5th – Cambodia
Praise God for the completion of clean water systems, garbage incinerators, and hand washing facilities at two of Sunshine’s partner schools, Kamrieng Primary and Toul Prasat Primary School. 

Wed 6th – Uganda
Praise God for the further improved security, for property and individuals, at CFM in response to the break-in and robbery they suffered in April.      

Thu 7th – DR Congo
Praise God that Francine, the year 1 teacher at Ephphatha, recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Praise God for a safe delivery and that mother and baby are both doing well.

Week 2

Fri 8th – Uganda
Praise God, that James Namago (CFM’s Chief Operations Officer) recently completed his postgraduate Diploma in project planning and management.      

Sat 9th – DR Congo
Pray that God would bless Ephphatha’s bible camp for deaf students that they’re running this month.   

Sun 10th – Cambodia
Continue praying for Sunshine’s program manager, Mr. Nop Sen. Praise God that his plastic anaemia is responding to treatment. However, the amount of medication he’s using is causing him concerns. Pray for God’s peace over him and that he will be well enough to lower his medication soon.   

Mon 11th – The World
Pray for the war in the Ukraine and all of the active wars across the world right now. Pray that God would protect and comfort the innocent victims of these conflicts and pray that he would work through the countries’ leaders to bring peace as soon as possible. 

Tue 12th – India
Praise God for the women who recently graduated from BCM’s vocational training program. Pray that they might find jobs that continue to empower them and help them provide for their families.

Wed 13th – DR Congo
The fighting in Eastern DR Congo has forced thousands of people to flee their homes, with many of those heading for Goma. Pray for safety and provision for those who have fled and pray for those, like our partners, who are rising up to support them.  

Thu 14th – Uganda
Pray for healing for the young girl at Wakisa who has a pelvic infection that is failing to respond to treatment. The doctor is now waiting for her to have her baby so that they can try a different approach.    

Week 3

Fri 15th – DR Congo
Praise God that HEAL’s sponsorship manager, Sandrine Maombi, recently underwent emergency life-saving surgery and is now recovering well.    

Sat 16th – Uganda
Praise God for Wakisa’s new Centre Manager, Jennifer Nazziwa. Pray that God will continue helping her to settle in and feel welcomed as the newest member of a tight-knit team.     

Sun 17th – India
Praise God for the new children who recently started at BCM’s child care centre. Pray that they would settle in quickly, have fun and enjoy their first experience of formal education.    

Mon 18th – WorldShare
Praise God for generous supporters like you, who have helped us reach our fundraising targets for last financial year and enabled our ministry partners to continue showing and sharing Jesus’ love to the vulnerable, outcast and forgotten overseas.

Tue 19th – Cambodia
Pray for Sunshine’s plans to build ‘quick response’ teams, which would be responsible for the reporting of any cases related to child harassment, exploitation or abuse that happen in their communities. Pray that God would provide the right people to join these teams.  

Wed 20th – Uganda
Praise God the VSLAs in the villages of Namutumba, Kaliro and Luuka (all part of CFM’s Mafudu project) have all been successfully registered by the authorities and are doing well.

Thu 21st – DR Congo
Praise God that the man who does maintenance on Ephphatha’s medical machines (who we prayed for in June when he was hospitalised after being in an accident) has made a full recovery.

Week 4

Fri 22nd – Uganda
Praise God that CFM recently completed their distribution of school fees and scholastic materials for all the children in their programs.

Sat 23rd – DR Congo
Pray for HEAL Africa’s staff members who are running programs in rural communities where the insecurity has risen in recent weeks. Pray for God’s continued protection over them.

Sun 24th – Cambodia
Praise God for Sunshine’s program coordinator, Sreyta, who recently gave birth to baby boy. Praise God for a safe delivery and that mother and child are both doing well. 

Mon 25th – WorldShare
Praise God for Joseph John (our Chief Financial and Operations Officer) who, after 7.5 years, is finishing up at WorldShare. We praise God for everything he has done for the outcast and forgotten and everything he means to us in the team. We pray for God’s blessing over him and his family in everything that comes next.

Tue 26th – India
Karnataka (the state in India where BCM serves) recently introduced a new law that prohibits ‘forced religious conversion’. Sadly, there have been reports of Christian pastors being falsely charged and imprisoned under the new law. Pray for God’s hand over these pastors and all Christians as they live in fear of persecution for sharing their faith.    

Wed 27th – DR Congo
Pray for Dr Aaron, from Ephphatha’s medical centre, who is traveling to Bukavu to collaborate on audiological activities at their General Hospital. Pray for his safety as he travels and that God blesses his work while there.  

Thu 28th – Uganda
Praise God for the recent training in evaluation, theory of change, and fundraising, undertaken by the staff at Wakisa.

Week 5

Fri 29th – Cambodia
Praise God that the recent council election in Cambodia was relatively peaceful. In the lead up to the election there were concerns about a possible outbreak of political violence.  

Sat 30th – Uganda
Pray for our ministry partners and vulnerable communities in Uganda as they face shortages and skyrocketing prices of food, fuel and other essentials.

Sun 31st – DR Congo
Pray for all the school students in their final year that are currently awaiting their final exam results (especially after so much disruption in their last two years of learning). Pray that God will encourage them irrespective of what the results are.
