Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Week 1

Sat 1st – DR Congo
Praise God for HEAL Africa’s Mercy Fund, which covers the medical bills of the most vulnerable patients admitted to the HEAL Africa hospital. As the need for this service has grown significantly in recent years pray for God’s continued blessing, guidance and provision.

Sun 2nd – Uganda
Praise God for the 32 girls at Wakisa who have accepted God into their lives in recent months. Pray that, as many of them head back to their homes from the centre, they would find churches in their communities that can support them in their walk with God.   

Mon 3rd – India
Praise God for the women who recently graduated from BCM’s vocational training program. Pray that they might find jobs that continue to empower them and help them provide for their families.

Tue 4th – WorldShare
Thank you for praying for our Finance and Operations Officer, Dinuka, whose two-year-old son, Shaun, underwent a bone-marrow biopsy in July. Praise God that the biopsy results recently came back normal! And thank you again so much for lifting them up in prayer.

Wed 5th – Cambodia
Continue praying for Sunshine’s Director, Sem Sochetra. He has visited many doctors and still doesn’t know the reason for his dizzy spells. Pray that he might find the cause and a solution, and be restored to full health soon.

Thu 6th – Uganda
Praise God for Winnie and Barbra (team managers at CFM) who are currently working towards postgraduate diplomas in project planning and management.

Fri 7th – DR Congo
Praise God for the five new deaf pastors who were recently ordained at Ephphatha. Pray that God would bless them as they each go out to share the gospel in areas that haven’t previously had access to the word of God.

Week 2

Sat 8th – Uganda
Praise God for James Namago as he finishes up as CFM’s COO. Praise God for his service and may God bless him in his new season.

Sun 9th – DR Congo
Praise God for the students who have completed their final year of Ephphatha’s vocational training program and recently received their certificates. Pray that they might find good jobs that utilise their new skills.

Mon 10th – Cambodia
Praise God that Sunshine’s certification with Cambodia’s Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation has been reviewed and renewed. 

Tue 11th – World
Pray for the war in the Ukraine and all of the active wars across the world right now. Pray that God would protect and comfort the innocent victims of these conflicts and pray that he would work through the countries’ leaders to bring peace as soon as possible.

Wed 12th – India
Pray for church leaders, NGO’s and Christian organisations (like BCM) in Karnataka, India, as they plan their work around the new anti-conversion law that has reportedly resulted in increased persecution.

Thu 13th – DR Congo
Pray for God’s protection over the children in HEAL Africa’s programs. Pray that he might continue to keep them safe from the violence, unrest and kidnappings that have become far too common in recent years.

Fri 14th – Uganda
Praise God for the vocational skills teacher at Wakisa who recently had a child. She has decided not to return after her maternity leave and so pray that Wakisa can find a new teacher for their knitting program.

Week 3

Sat 15th – DR Congo
Praise God for HEAL’s Uamusho project, which provides support, education and empowerment for ‘street kids’. Many of the young people in the program are currently suffering from illness, please pray for God’s healing and provision for them.

Sun 16th – Uganda
Pray for the young woman at Wakisa who is in the process of reconciling with her father so she can return home with her new child. Pray that God would work in her father’s heart and help Wakisa to support her at this time.

Mon 17th – India
Pray for the children in BCM’s sponsorship program who are struggling with the return to school after years of lockdowns. Pray that they would be encouraged to continue attending and actively participating in all school activities.

Tue 18th – WorldShare
Praise God for our new Chief Financial & Operations Officer, Kate Kim. We are so excited to welcome her to the team!

Wed 19th – Cambodia
Praise God for Sunshine’s new ‘Amnor Project’. Sunshine will be supporting two churches in rural communities by helping them run community outreach events, buying them bibles, and equipping their Sunday Schools.

Thu 20th – Uganda
Praise God for keeping CFM’s field workers safe as they travel between churches and communities along poor-quality roads where accidents are commonplace.

Fri 21st – DR Congo
Pray for God’s guidance over Ephphatha as they consider ways to better serve and share the gospel with deaf people living in rural communities.

Week 4

Sat 22nd – Uganda
Many of CFM’s newer churches currently meet under trees. Pray that they might obtain buildings to meet in, or at least temporary structures to begin with. Praise the God that these churches are still standing and serving the Lord despite their challenges.

Sun 23rd – DR Congo
Pray for HEAL as they are equipping churches in Buhene for counselling and outreach. Buhene is an incredibly volatile district of Goma that struggles with public violence and unrest. It was also one of the worst affected districts by last year’s volcanic eruption as well as the recent conflict.  

Mon 24th – Cambodia
Pray for the 7-year-old boy in one of Sunshine’s programs who was recently hospitalised with cystitis and nephrotic syndrome (troubles of the bladder and kidneys). Pray that he might be healed quickly and completely.

Tue 25th – WorldShare
Pray for all of our partners overseas as they are each being impacted by dramatic price inflation and shortages of food and essentials. Pray for God’s protection and provision over them and their communities. Pray also for God’s wisdom over us as we work to support them at this challenging time.

Wed 26th – India
Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance over the BCM team as they work towards new health and education projects in coming months.

Thu 27th – DR Congo
Praise God for Ephphatha’s new bible translation project where they are creating videos presenting the four Gospels in local sign language. They recently completed the book of Matthew.

Fri 28th – Uganda
Praise God for Sarah, the new social worker at Wakisa. Pray that she would quickly feel part of the team and enjoying learning on the job.

Week 5

Sat 29th – DR Congo
Pray for the staff at HEAL Africa hospital as they continue to serve on the front line during this pandemic. Pray that God will give them strength, endurance and encouragement and keep them safe while they serve.

Sun 30th – India
There has been an increase in reports of religious discrimination across the country in recent times. Pray for God’s hand over our Christian brothers and sisters (and all members of religious minorities) who live in fear of persecution for their faith.

Mon 31st – Uganda
Praise God for the recent completion of vocational training in cookery, tailoring and handcraft by a number of girls at Wakisa.
