Week 1

Wed 1st – DR Congo Continue praying for the ongoing conflict between the DR Congolese Army and M23 rebel forces in the Eastern DR Congo. Pray for God’s peace and protection over our partners and the innocent people caught up in this conflict.

Thu 2nd – Uganda Pray for (Wakisa Director) Vivian and her family as they mourn the death of her sister. Pray that God would have his hand over Vivian and her nieces and nephews during this time.    

Fri 3rd – India Praise God for the women in BCM’s vocational training program. Praise God that women from all castes are able and willing to come together to empower themselves, increase their independence, and help support their families, through vocational skills and understanding.

Sat 4th – Indonesia Praise God for the provision of office space for Yasera’s team in Southwest Sumba and for vehicles to be used for staff transportation. Please pray for the team as they move everything from their former temporary workplace to the new office in the city.

Sun 5th – Cambodia Praise God that everyone at Sunshine was recently able to come together to celebrate their achievements in 2022 and to spend time working to find ways to improve for 2023.  

Mon 6th – Uganda Pray for CFM’s team member Nicholas and his two-year-old daughter, Haven. She has been suffering from repeated bouts of pneumonia over the last few months. At times it has gotten so bad that she has had to be put on oxygen. Pray for her full healing and peace for their family.       

Tue 7th – WorldShare Praise God for our new CEO, Dr Glyn Henman! Praise God for Glyn’s incredible experience, skills, and passion for leadership and ministry. We are so excited to welcome Glyn into our team and we look forward to seeing how God will bless our WorldShare community through him in this next season.

Week 2

Wed 8th – India Pray for our Inspired by India online event tonight as we come together with BCM to celebrate International Women’s Day and witness the impact of their ministry first-hand.

Thu 9th – DR Congo Pray for Rachelle and Martha, members of the Ephphatha community, who are travelling from Goma to Kampala (in Uganda) to complete their theological studies. Their trip will involve travelling across borders and nearby the ‘combat zone’ between the DR Congolese army and M23 rebel forces. Pray for safe and speedy travel.

Fri 10th – Cambodia Continue praying for the woman in Sunshine’s family program, who had complications after a miscarriage and was hospitalised for four days. Praise God that she is healing well and pray that God would continue to comfort, support, and bring her back to full health. 

Sat 11th – Indonesia Praise God for Yasera’s new Southwest Sumba team. Pray that Desinta, Yati, Yanus and Maria will continue to bond well together in these early days and continue to form great relationships within the local community.

Sun 12th – India Pray for the students in BCM’s programs as they undertake their end of year school exams this month. Pray that God would help them keep calm and enable them to display their hard work and understanding.

Mon 13th – DR Congo Praise God for Kika, a member of the Ephphatha community, who recently gave birth to a baby boy. Praise God that both mother and child are safe and well.

Tue 14th – Uganda Continue praying for the new mums at the Wakisa centre who are currently trying to reconcile with their families. If they continue to be rejected by their families, they have limited options of where they can go. Pray for God’s hand over these girls, their children, their parents and the Wakisa team as they try to support the girls and facilitate these reconciliations.

Week 3

Wed 15th – DR Congo The fighting in Eastern DR Congo has forced thousands of people to flee their homes, with many of those heading for Goma. Pray for safety and provision for those who have fled and pray for those, like our partners HEAL Africa and Ephphatha, who are rising up to support them.

Thu 16th – Uganda Praise God for the level of unity and teamwork Wakisa is enjoying after welcoming several new staff members over recent months. 

Fri 17th – Indonesia Praise God that Yasera’s recent baseline surveys went well in the villages of Tenateke and Mandungo and praise God for the 189 families that are taking part in the program.

Sat 18th – WorldShare Pray that God would bless the series of events we’re putting on (beginning this month) where members of our WorldShare community can come and meet Glyn (our new CEO).

Sun 19th – Cambodia Pray for Sunshine Cambodia as their ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ (ie their registration) with the Ministry of Education is being finalised. Pray that it will get the final sign off soon.

Mon 20th – Uganda Pray for good weather in Uganda. It has been a very dry season so far and already some areas are experiencing drought and famine. Planting season is near and so pray for rain and good planting conditions for Uganda’s farmers. 

Tue 21st – DR Congo Two Ephphatha students were recently detained in Rwanda – as a result of communication challenges due to their deafness – while returning from their Christmas break at home in Uganda. Praise God that they have been released and are now safely back at Ephphatha.

Week 4

Wed 22nd – Uganda Praise God for the CFM staff members – Winfred and Barbra – who are now in their final semester of further study to increase their skills and capacity. Pray that they might continue to study well and use these skills to serve their communities. 

Thu 23rd – DR Congo Pray for the children in North Kivu who have been forced to leave their communities by the conflict and are currently missing out on going to school. Pray that God would have his hand over them at this time and they might be able to return to their homes and classrooms soon.  

Fri 24th – Cambodia Praise God for recently blessing the programs team with the wisdom and energy to prepare reports for the relevant ministries on time, despite there being sickness in the team.   

Sat 25th – Indonesia As family development sessions begin, continue praying for the implementation of Yasera’s programs in the field. Pray that all staff can continue to coordinate well with the beneficiaries and village officials.

Sun 26th – India Praise God that some members of the BCM team have recently been able to take a break after a few incredibly challenging years. Pray that God would restore and rejuvenate the whole team as they continue to work for his kingdom.   

Mon 27th – DR Congo Pray for the pastor from Ephphatha who is travelling to Beni this month to visit and pray for deaf children in the area, perform several baptisms and run outreach events.   

Tue 28th – Uganda Pray for Violet, Wakisa’s sponsorship coordinator, who is currently receiving treatment for a medical condition. Pray that she will recover soon so she can avoid needing surgery.     

Week 5

Wed 29th – DR Congo Praise God for keeping everyone at Ephphatha and HEAL Africa safe, amidst the ongoing conflict and insecurity around them.

Thu 30th – Uganda Praise God for the people who gave their lives to Christ and the four churches that were planted during CFM’s recent outreach events. 

Fri 31st – India There continue to be reports of religious discrimination across the country in recent times. Pray for God’s hand over our Christian brothers and sisters (and all members of religious minorities) who live in fear of persecution for their faith.
