You can view or download this month’s Prayer and Praise diary here or read all of the points below.

Week 1

Tue 1st – DR Congo Pray for the patient at HEAL Africa’s hospital who is suffering from paralysis on one side of her body and has been brought to the hospital for brain surgery (her second in two months after the first one failed). Pray that this surgery would be a success and that she might regain the use of her right arm and leg.

Wed 2nd – Uganda Continue to pray for the babies that have been born at Wakisa in recent months with physical complications. Pray for these babies and their mothers as they deal with the immediate and longer-term challenges of these complications.

Thu 3rd – India Pray for the students in BCM’s sponsorship program as they prepare for their upcoming exams this month. Pray that they might study effectively and so be able to approach the exams with confidence.

Fri 4th – Indonesia Praise God that another new savings group is being established this month and praise God for the continued success of the whole savings group program in Sumba. Many families are already testifying to how they are being positively impacted and benefiting from the groups.

Sat 5th – Cambodia Praise God that Sunshine has begun to have some success fundraising from local organisations to support their programs. While it’s only small contributions so far, pray that these will continue and increase over time.

Sun 6th – Uganda Pray for CFM team member Nicholas and his wife as she is due to give birth this month. Pray for a safe delivery and good health for both mother and child.

Mon 7th – DR Congo Continue praying for health and healing for a number of Ephphatha’s staff members and their families, who have been struggling with illness (many to the point of hospitalisation) in recent months.

Week 2

Tue 8th – Uganda Praise God for the young mothers who have recently returned home and are now making an income thanks to the vocational skills they learned through Wakisa’s vocational training.

Wed 9th – DR Congo Continue praying that overseas media, governments and organisations would give more attention to the situation in the eastern DR Congo and provide more support to the people suffering as a result of this conflict.

Thu 10th – Cambodia Praise God for the success of Sunshine’s recent training to explore and improve communication in their teams and in the field.

Fri 11th – Indonesia Praise God that our ministry partner’s interventions to help moderately and severely malnourished children continue to go well. While only a small percentage of children have changed nutrition status so far, many of the others are continuing to make progress and gain weight.

Sat 12th – India Continue praising God for the students at BCM’s vocational training centres. Praise God that the number of students continues to increase and pray that He would bless their efforts to empower themselves through skill acquisition and hard work.

Sun 13th – DR Congo Pray for the members of Ephphatha’s bible translation project (Stanislas, Temon, Fabien and Papy) who are travelling this month to work with the other translation organisations from Togo and Malawi.

Mon 14th – Uganda Praise God for the ongoing success of CFM’s Pilot Agricultural Program in Mafudu village. Praise God for the significant impact it’s already having on families in terms of food security and income generation.

Week 3

Tue 15th – DR Congo Praise God for HEAL’s Uamusho project, which provides support, education and empowerment for young people living on the streets. Praise God for these young people who are trying to turn their lives around and pray that God would give them strength and bless their efforts.

Wed 16th – Uganda Praise God for Allen (a midwife at Wakisa) who successfully completed her studies in midwifery last month.

Thu 17th – Indonesia Pray that God would continue to keep our partner’s team safe as they travel between villages.

Sat 19th – Cambodia A few families in Sunshine’s sponsorship program have recently had to move from their homes in rural areas to Phnom Penh in order to find work. Pray that these parents might be able to find work quickly to support their families and that the kids can find new schools and settle in well.

Sun 20th – DR Congo Praise God that Ephphatha’s students across their vocational training, primary and secondary schools achieved a success rate over 90% in their recent final exams. This is a great achievement under any circumstances but especially considering the situation in Goma at the moment.

Mon 21st – Uganda Continue praying for our partners and the people of Uganda as there has been an increase in violent robberies and attacks in recent months (there is significant political and social instability and tension in the country at the moment).

Week 4

Tue 22nd – Uganda Praise God for Paula (Wakisa’s Centre Manager) and the excellent teamwork and team spirit at Wakisa that she’s fostered.

Sat 26th – Indonesia Praise God that our partner’s partnership with a local mobile library organisation continues to go well. The mobile library comes to our partner’s monthly Children’s Assembly meetings and provides the 100 children that attend with access to reading books.
