Supporter Engagement Manager

  • Inspire and engage new and existing benefactors to support WorldShare
  • Work in a close team dedicated to restoring hope and life to the outcast and forgotten around the world
  • Chatswood based; 4 days or full time role

About us

WorldShare is a Christian aid and development organisation. We believe that God is the defender of the vulnerable and calls us to help those in need. Motivated by Jesus’ call to love our neighbour, we support local Christian partner organisations in developing countries around the world.

Our vision is to see lives transformed as people connect to love like Jesus. Together, we restore hope and life to the outcast and forgotten. We assist our partner organisations in their programs which care for the marginalised by protecting children, empowering women, providing education and health care, and demonstrating the love of God. We bring Australian supporters together to resource and encourage our overseas partners, through generous giving, faithful prayer and overseas partner visits. We focus primarily on international aid and development - on protecting and helping those who are marginalised, mistreated and oppressed in developing countries.

Operating since 1943, WorldShare is an established organisation and is currently going through an exciting period of change and evolution.

The role

The Supporter Engagement Manager will inspire and engage new and existing supporters to support Worldshare. Reporting to the Marketing and Fundraising Director, this is a diverse role, requiring supporter relationship management, coordinating numerous fundraising campaigns, reimagining a supporter partnerships approach for WorldShare and supporting the development and implementation of the organisation’s income growth strategy.

This is a pivotal role that will see you develop and nurture meaningful relationships with supporters, and in doing this, you will transform lives of marginalised and mistreated people overseas as well as impact and enrich the lives of our benefactors.

About you

First and foremost, you are passionate about God’s call to care for the outcast and forgotten around the world.

You have a solid track record in business development and/or fundraising, ideally in an NFP context.

You are a people person. Whether it’s having one-on-one coffees with supporters, pitching to a small group, presenting to large groups, or taking teams on overseas trips – as long as it’s centred around people, you’re in your element.

You have effective communication skills, a go-get attitude and a deep passion for helping others.

How to apply

Send your succinct cover letter and a CV to (attention Joanna Mansfield). In your cover letter, tell us why you’d like the role and how you address the selection criteria. Applications close 9am, Thursday 3rd August 2017.
