Marketing and Fundraising Director

Location: Chatswood

  • Play a key role in engaging with our supporters and help us restore hope and life to the outcast and forgotten

WorldShare is a Christian aid and development organisation. We believe that God is the defender of the vulnerable and calls us to help those in need. Motivated by Jesus' call to love our neighbour, we support local Christian partner organisations in developing countries around the world.

Our vision is to see a thriving movement of people, loving like Jesus. Together, we restore hope and life to the outcast and forgotten. We assist our partner organisations in their programs which care for children, empower women, provide education and health care, and demonstrate the love of God. We bring Australian supporters together to resource and encourage our overseas partners, through generous giving, faithful prayer and overseas partner visits. We are integral in enabling a close relationship between our partners and supporters.

Operating since 1943, WorldShare is an established organisation and is currently going through an exciting period of change and evolution.

Role Purpose

To lead and inspire new and existing supporters to connect deeply with WorldShare and its international partners through prayer, giving, learning and visiting. This pivotal role will provide leadership and strategic integration of WorldShare fundraising, marketing and communication initiatives. Through this role, you will develop and implement the marketing & fundraising strategy for WorldShare and drive initiatives to build brand awareness and further enhance fundraising opportunities which further the mission of WorldShare.

About you

First and foremost, you are passionate about God's call to care for the outcast and forgotten around the world.

You're experienced - you've been in the fundraising/marketing industry for some time. You base decisions on what you know works best, but you also like to bring your own creative flair to your work.

You thrive in a role that challenges you and allows you to innovate and make your mark. Being dynamic and effective is your forte.

The role

The Supporter Services Coordinator is an important, newly-developed role within WorldShare. In this role, you will be the first port of call for WorldShare supporters. You will facilitate a supporter experience that is positive, efficient, timely and engaging and in so doing will help inspire new and existing supporters to share God's love with mistreated and marginalised people in Africa and Asia through our overseas partner organisations.

You will provide essential customer care and data support to the supporter engagement team, and your organisational skills will help keep WorldShare in good order.

About you

First and foremost, you are passionate about God's call to care for the outcast and forgotten around the world.

You are customer-focused and get a kick out of ensuring great experiences for our supporters.

You're process-driven and are highly organised, with great technical skills. You excel at keeping things in order.

Being a multi-tasker, you are comfortable with managing multiple priorities with care and you have a strong performance and outcome focus, able to take the initiative to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
