Masters and PhD Christian Studies program for China’s future leaders
As China seeks new values for its rapidly changing society, it increasingly recognises the inherit value of Christianity’s message; namely integrity, trust, accountability, transparency and kindness. Peking University works to develop a new generation of Biblical scholars in China. We have been given the unique opportunity to assist China in establishing biblical excellence in Chinese higher education, through the nation’s most prestigious Peking University (PKU) in Beijing.
Peking University offers a Master of Arts in Christian Studies (two-year course) and PhD in Christian Studies (four-year program). Students come from nearly all the provinces of China and from various walks of life - church leaders, pastors, government officers, businessmen, journalists, foreign affairs workers, educators, lecturers in schools and colleges. All the major Bible colleges in China have sent at least one of their lecturers to study at this course.
We are seeking to develop in China a university-level research scholarship in Christian studies that is Bible-based, transforming in nature, reflective of Chinese cultural heritage and characterised by excellence. If the Apostle Paul was writing home about all this today we believe he would say a great door of opportunity has opened for me and he would be talking about China. 1 Cor 16:9.
