WorldShare is a Christian aid and development organisation. We believe that God is the defender of the vulnerable and calls us to help those in need. Motivated by Jesus’ call to love our neighbour, we support local Christian partner organisations in developing countries around the world.
Our vision is to see lives transformed as people connect to love like Jesus. Together, we restore hope and life to the outcast and forgotten. We assist our partner organisations in their programs which care for the marginalised by protecting children, empowering women, providing education and health care, and demonstrating the love of God. We bring Australian supporters together to resource and encourage our overseas partners, through generous giving, faithful prayer and overseas partner visits. We focus primarily on international aid and development - on protecting and helping those who are marginalised, mistreated and oppressed in developing countries.
Operating since 1943, WorldShare is an established organisation and is currently going through an exciting period of change and evolution and this has seen new structure, systems and processes introduced. This next phase presents an opportunity to build on the foundations which have been developed, and your experience in the sector and in particular - fundraising and marketing will be highly valued. To lead and inspire new and existing supporters to connect deeply with WorldShare and its international partners through prayer, giving and learning. This pivotal role will provide leadership and strategic integration of WorldShare marketing, fundraising & communication initiatives. Through this role, you will develop & implement the marketing & fundraising strategy for WorldShare and drive initiatives to build brand awareness and further enhance fundraising opportunities, which further the mission of WorldShare.
We are looking for a strong leader with a proven track record of success in leading and managing a marketing & fundraising team in line with the strategy, maximising efficiencies and ensuring alignment to the broader organisational strategy.
We are also looking for someone who can build, led and nurture highly effective and co-operative teams. You will have the ability to inspire, influence and coach team members, as well as influence other teams. You will possess integrity, excellent leadership skills, be highly organised, have sound business and financial acumen, be tertiary qualified and have the ability to engage people in the work of WorldShare.
You will be able to take the strategy, break it into the various steps, and ensure each part is implemented, always keeping in mind the key stakeholders, our ministry partners and Australian supporters.
You will be able to deliver a wide range of fundraising activities, including appeals management and processing, grants research and applications, event coordination, bequest marketing and regular giving appeals management.
You will be passionate about our vision and mission, driven to lead a team effectively and efficiently in order for hope and life to be restored for the most marginalised around the world, in the name of Jesus.
