Note: In addition to our regular Prayer & Praise calendar, you’re also invited to join with us and our partners in a month of praying for peace in the DRC. You can find more details, and prayer points here.

Week 1
Tue 1st – DR Congo Praise God that HEAL Africa has been able to reopen their primary school in the Mugunga displaced people camp. Praise God that many children have already returned to school and keep praying for the safety of those families that HEAL hasn’t yet been able to contact.
Wed 2nd – Uganda Praise God for the ongoing success of CFM’s village savings groups (VSLAs) and in particular for blessing their recent training for group leaders.
Thu 3rd – India Praise God for the teachers, social workers, and program staff who work tirelessly to support the children and families in BCM’s programs. Pray that God would continue to give them strength, wisdom, and encouragement in their mission.
Fri 4th – Indonesia Praise God that so many families in the community are seeing the benefits of our partner’s village savings groups and are keen to join the program. Pray that God would guide our partners as they plan how to best meet this demand.
Sat 5th – Cambodia Pray for a teacher at one of Sunshine’s partner schools who is suffering from pain in her legs and was recently hospitalised. Pray for recovery and healing, and that she might be able to return to the classroom soon.
Sun 6th – Uganda Praise God for Paula (manager of the Wakisa Centre) and Marion (a midwife), who are both doing well in their studies and are looking to complete their courses in the next few months.
Mon 7th – DR Congo Praise God for healing Charmant’s (Ephphatha’s Director) wife, who suffered a heart attack in the midst of the invasion and who we were praying for recently because she had ongoing blood pressure issues. She has now fully recovered and is back to good health.
Week 2
Tue 8th – Uganda Praise God for everyone at the Wakisa Centre who, every day, are showing and sharing God’s love with outcast young mothers right when they need it most.
Wed 9th – DR Congo Alongside all the immediate threats from this conflict, our partners keep expressing to us the amount of trauma that everyone in Goma is suffering from. Pray that God would pour down His peace on our partners and the people of Goma and help them to reconcile with the horrors they’ve seen and experienced.
Thu 10th – Cambodia Pray for the children and their families in Sunshine’s programs. As a result of Cambodia’s current financial crisis, some parents have had to move to Phnom Penh or other provinces to find work. So, many of the children have been left with elderly relatives who often struggle to support the children’s studies and nutrition.
Fri 11th – Indonesia Praise God for the community health workers that are working with our partners to serve young children struggling with severe malnutrition in Southwest Sumba. Pray that God would bless their efforts and that children in the program can gain weight and increase their health.
Sat 12th – India Pray for the children and families in BCM’s sponsorship program. Pray that they would experience stability and improved living conditions through the program, but also that they might find peace, hope and spiritual growth as well.
Sun 13th – DR Congo Praise God for the two women at Ephphatha who recently gave birth. Both mothers and babies are well and praise God that, even in the midst of all this horror and heartbreak, the joy of new life can break through.
Mon 14th – Uganda Praise God for Winfred at CFM, who balances work, further study and caring for her extended family. Praise God that her family is well after a long run of illness (which we’ve been praying for in recent months).
Week 3
Tue 15th – DR Congo Praise God for all the doctors, nurses, and social workers at the HEAL Africa hospital who continue to tirelessly support wounded victims of the ongoing violence (in addition to their usual patients) .
Wed 16th – Uganda Pray that Wakisa can find a doctor to fill the final position they’re recruiting for at the new health centre.
Thu 17th – Indonesia Praise God for the leaders of our partner’s monthly Children Assemblies. Praise God for their recent leadership training activities where they gained new knowledge and confidence.
Fri 18th – India Pray for the congregations and leaders of the local village churches in the communities BCM serves. Praise God for their faith and commitment in the face of many challenges.
Sat 19th – Cambodia Praise God for Sunshine’s partner churches. Praise God for blessing their ministries and seeing them bear fruit in the communities. Praise God that His kingdom is being strengthened and expanded.
Sun 20th – DR Congo Praise God for protecting members of Ephphatha’s bible translation team during their recent travels to a neighbouring region.
Mon 21st – Uganda Praise God for keeping CFM staff safe as they travel between villages along poor-quality and dangerous roads.
Week 4
Tue 22nd – Uganda Praise God for the girls at Wakisa who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour over the last few months.
Wed 23rd – DR Congo Continue praying for protection over the youths in HEAL’s Uamusho group. They are especially vulnerable right now because they live on the streets and have nowhere to shelter from the violence and chaos.
Thu 24th – Cambodia Continue praying for Sunshine’s fundraising efforts. Many of their international donors have had to reduce their financial support, so pray for God’s guidance as they seek new partnerships and opportunities.
Fri 25th – India Praise God for BCM’s sponsorship program and pray that it would continue to bring transformative change to the communities it serves.
Sat 26th – Indonesia Praise God for blessing our partner’s recent meeting with the new regional government (which is responsible for planning, research, and development at the local level) to explore ways they can work together to address the malnutrition issues in Southwest Sumba.
Sun 27th – DR Congo Pray that, now the fighting has eased and peace talks are underway, the people of Goma would be able to get food and water into the city again after the supply routes into the city have been cut off for so long.
Mon 28th – Uganda Praise God for the local pastors and church leaders that attended CFM’s recent church leader training event.
Week 5
Tue 29th – Cambodia Continue praying for Sunshine’s fundraising efforts. Many of their international donors have had to reduce their financial support, so pray for God’s guidance as they seek new partnerships and opportunities.
Wed 30th – DR Congo As the conflict continues throughout other regions of the DR Congo, keep praying for the soldiers on both sides of the conflict. Pray that God would give them hearts of grace and mercy towards all the civilians they come across in this battle.
Thu 31st – Uganda Even though Uganda’s presidential election is not expected until next January, there are already concerns about political conflict and instability in the lead up. Pray for peace over the country during this time.
