You can view or download this month’s Prayer and Praise diary here or read all of the points below.

Week 1

Mon 1st – DR Congo Pray for the people of the DR Congo. Pray for an end to the civil conflict. Pray for an end to the total siege of Goma. Pray that roads would be able to reopen and that food supplies can travel through the country again and reach the vulnerable people currently facing starvation.

Tue 2nd – Uganda Praise God for the ongoing success of CFM’s village savings groups, which are tangibly improving the lives of everyone involved in the program.

Wed 3rd – India Praise God for the students at BCM’s vocational training centres. Praise God that the number of students continues to increase and pray that He would bless their efforts to empower themselves through skill acquisition and hard work.

Thu 4th – Indonesia Praise God for Ana, who was formerly a health field staff in our Indonesian partner’s Bali team and has now joined the Sumba team. Pray that she can adjust well to her new working environment and can quickly find a good and safe room for rent (she’s currently living in our ministry partner’s office).

Fri 5th – Cambodia Praise God that Sunshine’s School Development Program was recently recognised and celebrated for the quality of its implementation by the local district’s department of Education.

Sat 6th – Uganda Praise God for Marion, a midwife at Wakisa, who is looking to do further studies in midwifery this year. Pray that she can study well and balance her work at the Wakisa Centre with the requirements of her course.

Sun 7th – DR Congo Pray for the members of Ephphatha’s bible translation project as they are currently making plans for the second half of the year. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance over them.

Week 2

Mon 8th – Uganda Continue praying for Wakisa as they deal with steeply rising operational costs, and particularly the girl’s hospital bills. Pray for God’s guidance and provision over them.

Tue 9th – DR Congo Pray for everyone at HEAL’s Mugunga primary school inside the internally displaced people camp. Recently, the teachers had to send the children home and temporarily close the school after explosions (from the encroaching battlefront) began going off nearby.

Wed 10th – Cambodia Praise God for the success of recent meetings (and a growing relationship) between Sunshine, the local authorities and church leaders.

Thu 11th – Indonesia Pray for our partner in Indonesia as they begin working in a new village. Pray in particular for the Community Health Worker training that they’re running in partnership with the local District Health Centre.

Fri 12th – India Praise God for BCM’s childcare centre, which provides vulnerable young children with nutritious meals and a place to learn and have fun, as well as enabling their parents to work or undertake vocational training to support the family.

Sat 13th – DR Congo Pray for mother of one of Ephphatha’s nurses, who recently got an infection after badly cutting her foot. Pray for a full recovery and for her comfort in the meantime.

Sun 14th – Uganda Praise God for Pastor Isaac, CFM’s chief operating officer. Pray for him as he continues his university master’s degree in management this year (we mistakenly said he was finishing in January). Pray that he may continue to study well and use his learnings to serve his community even better.

Week 3

Mon 15th – DR Congo Pray for God’s healing over all the patients at the HEAL Africa hospital. With the need for this service growing significantly in recent times praise God for their Mercy Fund (which covers the medical bills of the most vulnerable patients admitted to the hospital) and pray for God’s continued blessing, guidance, and provision.

Tue 16th – Uganda Pray for Wakisa as they look to recruit gynaecologists and paediatricians to volunteer at the new health centre over the next six months.

Wed 17th – Indonesia Keep praying for our ministry partner as they continue working with the families of severely and moderately malnourished children.

Thu 18th – India Praise God for the women in BCM’s vocational training program. Praise God that women from all castes are able and willing to come together to empower themselves, increase their independence, and help support their families, through vocational skills and understanding.

Fri 19th – Cambodia Praise God for continuing to heal Sunshine’s program manager, Sen. He’s been getting treatment for aplastic anaemia (a rare condition where the body stops producing enough new blood cells) after suffering from it for years. His recent blood results have been so promising that they’re going to experiment with taking him off the medication this month. Pray that this goes well.

Sat 20th – DR Congo Pray for Francine, the year 1 teacher at Ephphatha, who is pregnant. Pray for health for mother and child and a safe delivery when the time comes.

Sun 21st – Uganda Pray for good weather and continued success for CFM’s agricultural program in Bunambutye as they work to improve crop yields and address food insecurity in the region.

Week 4

Mon 22nd – Uganda Praise God that Paula (Wakisa’s Centre manager) was able to get her learner’s driving permit recently. Pray for her as she works toward getting her full drivers licence.

Tue 23rd – DR Congo Praise God for protecting our partners and their families in Goma from the incredible threats they’re facing – civil conflict, a city under siege, violent crime, kidnappings, and a cholera outbreak – pray that God would continue to keep them safe and bring an end to all these challenges.

Wed 24th – Cambodia Praise God for Sunshine’s program offering micro-enterprise (small business) training and start-up capital for families who are looking for additional sources of income to support themselves. Pray that God would use this program to bless and empower people in their community.

Thu 25th – India Pray that God would grant BCM wisdom, strength, and discernment as they continue to serve members of their community and look to expand their programs into new communities.

Fri 26th – Indonesia Praise God that a mobile library organisation has agreed to visit the villages where our partner serves – giving local children access to reading books – in coming months.

Sat 27th – DR Congo Pray for the recent graduates of Ephphatha’s vocational training program. Pray that they might be able to find work amidst the turmoil in Goma.

Sun 28th – Uganda Praise God for the ongoing success of CFM’s door-to-door evangelism program. People are hearing the gospel for the first time, and many are giving their life to Christ.

Week 5

Mon 29th – DR Congo Pray that overseas media, governments and organisations would give more attention to the situation in the eastern DR Congo and provide more support to the people suffering as a result of this conflict.

Tue 30th – Uganda Pray for Wakisa as they prepare to hold an educational medical ‘camp’ for the community at the centre next month.
