Week 1

Sun 1st – DR Congo Despite the peace deals in place between the DR Congo, the M23 and Rwanda, there continue to be reported outbreaks of conflict between the armed forces. Pray that these conflicts would cease and that the steps towards peace that the countries are taking would continue moving forward.

Mon 2nd – Uganda Praise God for our ministry partner’s recent evangelistic activities, which saw many people receive Jesus as their Lord and saviour.

Tue 3rd – India Praise God for the teachers, social workers, and program staff who work tirelessly to support the children and families in our programs. Pray that God would continue to give them strength, wisdom, and encouragement in their mission.

Wed 4th – Indonesia Praise God for the latest phase of the agricultural program focussed on improved cocoa growing. Praise God that many families are expressing gratitude for the results they’re already seeing from the training.

Thu 5th – Cambodia Continue praising God for our partner churches in Cambodia. Praise God for blessing their ministries and seeing them bear fruit in the communities. Praise God that His kingdom is being strengthened and expanded.

Fri 6th – Uganda Continue praising God that our partner’s new maternity centre is going well and has had a number of safe and healthy deliveries in the past few weeks.

Sat 7th – DR Congo Continue praying for people living in the displaced people (IDP) camps around Goma. They are reportedly being told to leave the camps and return to their villages, but many villages have been ravaged by the war and so there is nothing (no food, homes, or livelihood) for them to return to.

Week 2

Sun 8th – Uganda Praise God for the crisis centre’s food garden that continues to flourish and provide fruit and vegetables that help keep the centre’s food costs down.

Mon 9th – DR Congo Alongside all the immediate threats from this conflict, our partners keep expressing to us the amount of trauma that everyone in Goma is suffering from. Continue praying that God would pour down His peace on our partners and the people of Goma and help them to reconcile with the horrors they’ve seen and experienced.

Tue 10th – Cambodia Continue praying for the conflict situation along the Cambodian/Thailand border. The political situation of both countries remains tense, and both countries still have troops along the border. Pray that God would give wisdom to the leaders of both Cambodia and Thailand to find a peaceful solution for both countries.

Wed 11th – Indonesia Praise God for the success of recent health check-ups for children in our sponsorship program. Around 170 children were examined at the community health centre and received vitamins and medication where needed.

Thu 12th – India Pray for the congregations and leaders of the local village churches in the communities we serve. Praise God for their faith and commitment in the face of many challenges.

Fri 13th – DR Congo Praise God that our partner has been able to provide emergency food packages for the most vulnerable households from the deaf community, who have been facing severe malnutrition and starvation as a result of extreme food shortages.

Sat 14th – Uganda Praise God for the ongoing success of our partner’s livelihood project that is establishing village savings and loans (VSLA) groups and working to increase financial literacy amongst vulnerable families in rural communities.

Week 3

Sun 15th – DR Congo Continue praising God for all the teachers who bravely continue to work to help kids learn and to make them feel safe and cared for, during this difficult and stressful time. Pray that God would give them strength and keep them safe.

Mon 16th – Uganda Praise God for the recent team training our ministry partner took part in as part of their ongoing transition in leadership.

Tue 17th – Indonesia Praise God for blessing the recent child protection and human trafficking awareness campaigns in the communities we serve.

Wed 18th – India Many families in the communities that we serve lack proper identification documents. This causes many challenges in terms of accessing housing, services, loans, etc. Pray that local political leaders can prioritise the welfare of these vulnerable communities and help get the documents they need.

Thu 19th – Cambodia Continue praying for our partner in Cambodia as they are in the process of renewing their 3-year Memorandum of Understanding (i.e. their licence to provide the services they do). It can be a long a hard process so pray that God would bless their efforts and make their paths straight.

Fri 20th – DR Congo Praise God for all the doctors, nurses, and social workers at our ministry partner’s hospital who continue to tirelessly support wounded victims of the ongoing violence.

Sat 21st – Uganda Praise God for the success of our partner’s recent literacy and numeracy classes. Many kids from the community attended, were engaged, and increased their skills and understanding.

Week 4

Sun 22nd – Uganda Praise God for the girls at our partner’s pregnancy crisis centre who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour in recent months.

Mon 23rd – DR Congo Continue praying for protection over the street youths in our partner’s program. Many young people in Goma, especially those living on the streets, are currently being forcefully ‘recruited’ into military ‘service’ (by both sides of the conflict).

Tue 24th – Cambodia Continue praying for our Cambodian partner’s fundraising efforts. Many of their international donors have had to reduce their financial support, so pray for God’s guidance as they seek new partnerships and opportunities.

Wed 25th – India Pray for the children and families in our sponsorship program. Pray that they would experience stability and improved living conditions through the program, but also that they might find peace, hope and spiritual growth as well.

Thu 26th – Indonesia Praise God for blessing our partner in Sumba with safety, learning and good fellowship during their recent training and development sessions.

Fri 27th – DR Congo Praise God for the ongoing food program at our partner’s primary school inside a displacement camp, that provides nutritious food to children at school (often these are the only nutritious meals they’ll get that day).

Sat 28th – Uganda Praise God for the three churches that have been planted in recent months as a result of our partner’s evangelistic activities.

Week 5

Sun 29th – Cambodia Praise God for blessing our partner’s recent provision of food packages to four regional schools in need. Praise God in particular for the good collaboration between our partners, the schools and a number of local authorities.

Mon 30th – DR Congo Pray that God would bless the emergency and trauma relief activities our partner is currently running for the deaf community.

Tue 31st – Indonesia Praise God for our partner’s young Children’s Assembly leaders. Praise God for their efforts to create fun and safe learning environments for children in the community and for the recent leadership training they undertook.

*WorldShare supports our partners in three ways – financially, programmatically and in prayer. Some of the programs mentioned in these prayer points may be supported in prayer only.
