Ministry Overview

PMF has a vision to take the gospel to the many thousands of villages throughout the Philippines that are still not reached for Christ. It was born out of concern for those who live in spiritual and physical poverty, and demonstrates the compassion of Jesus. PMF has established schools, churches, medical clinics and orphanages and has a large pastor network. The PMF vision is based on the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20 to disciple all nations. The guiding philosophy of the ministry is: Partnership with God, Mission-focused and Fellowship with the body of Christ.

PMF implements practical projects in needy areas, enabling PMF workers to have a transforming influence within these communities. One such venture is the Elizabeth Academy, a school located in Quezon City, Manila, a very troubled area with high levels of crime and social unrest due to the many poor families who have moved there to seek a better life.

This video talks about the work of Philippine Missionary Fellowship in transforming people's lives through the education of the children at Elizabeth Academy. It includes delightful interviews with some of the children.

Transforming lives in the Philippines

The PhilippinesThe Philippines, in southeastern Asia, consists of 7,107 islands. Although the Philippines lie just north of Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim state, about ninety-four percent of Filipinos are Christian — mostly Catholic. About five percent of Filipinos are Muslim, mostly living on the islands of Mindanao and Palawan — islands closest to the Muslim countries of Malaysia and Indonesia.

The government is still struggling to draw its people out of poverty. With many Filipinos working overseas, foreign remittances have become an integral part of the national economy. Christian witness requires encouragement and support since more than forty percent of the 100 million population live in remote locations.

Our ministry partners are involved in a broad spectrum of activities including evangelism and church planting, community development and children's education.
