“I had lost the will to live anymore… it felt like there was no future for us in this place.”

This Christmas, as we celebrate the hope Jesus brought into the world, your generous gift can bring hope into the lives of vulnerable children like Rosie*.

This Christmas, as we celebrate the hope Jesus brought into the world, your generous gift can bring hope into the lives of vulnerable children like Rosie*.

“After seeing so many people be killed… I had begun to lose my sense of life,” Rosie remembers.

When soldiers attacked her village, Rosie fled for her life. She ended up in a displacement camp where, for almost a year, she faced constant hunger and saw other children become sick and malnourished. With no school and no hope, she was forced to beg on the streets just to survive.

“I had lost the will to live anymore,” she recalls. “…it felt like there was no future for us in this place.”

Because of the generosity of supporters like you, our local ministry partners run a primary school right inside the camp. Rosie was welcomed in.

She was given a school bag, books, and nutritious meals—a lifeline for her and her family. Most importantly, she was given a safe place to learn, be a child again, and forget the trauma she’d experienced.

“I feel that I am loved and cared for here,” she says. “It shows us that we are loved.”

Rosie’s life was transformed. But there are thousands of children like her still suffering in poverty, struggling to survive, and living without hope.

Your gift won’t just provide immediate relief—it will plant seeds of transformation. It will empower our local partners to provide education, sustainable livelihoods, and loving care, all while sharing the lasting hope of the gospel.

Please give generously today to help another child like Rosie know they are loved and have hope for a brighter future.

Pray with us

  • Praise God for a ceasefire (after two years of devastating conflict). Praise God that it has opened up an opportunity to get humanitarian aid to these families. Pray that the ceasefire would hold and that food, water and emergency aid can reach these families as quickly and effectively as possible.
  • Praise God for our local Christian partners on the ground. Praise God for their faithfulness in serving their neighbours throughout the crisis, and pray that God would give them protection, wisdom and stamina, as they strive to make the most of this opportune moment in time.
  • Pray for the people in Gaza that are suffering. Pray for those facing starvation and malnutrition, pray that the food and water and aid can reach them quickly and have incredible impact on their wellbeing. And pray also for families who are grieving, for those who have been displaced and who have lost loved ones during two years of conflict. Pray that God would give them His peace and comfort, and restore hope in their hearts.
