lives transformed and hope restored to the outcast and most marginalised throughout
the world. Each person on our Executive Team and Board brings with them
giftedness, a wealth of experience and a deep conviction for Jesus’ love to be
experienced by all.
Joanna joined WorldShare as CEO in 2016, after serving over six years on WorldShare’s Board. Joanna’s previous roles include the Principal Solicitor (Self Representation Service) at Justice Connect, a not-for-profit legal centre, and Program Director for the American Bar Association's anti-trafficking in persons program (Solomon Islands). Joanna qualified as a lawyer with DLA Piper and has practiced in civil and criminal law. Joanna holds a Master of International Law.
Joanna is passionate about seeing God's love and justice poured out on the marginalised and mistreated around the world.
Joseph is responsible for WorldShare’s financial management, ensuring the implementation of robust financial management and operations across the organisation. Joseph has over 20 years' experience in three diverse countries; India, Kingdom of Bahrain & Australia. Joseph holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and commerce from Loyola College (University of Madras) and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Canberra. Joseph was born in Madras, India and migrated to Australia in 2008. He joined WorldShare in 2015 and is married with two children.
Blaise joined WorldShare in 2017 and works closely with the Ministry Partners to make significant and sustainable impacts in local communities. Born in Lusenda, South Kivu in Democratic Republic of Congo, Blaise and his family fled the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1996, and he spent the next 16 years of his life in refugee camp in Tanzania where he received his primary and secondary schooling whilst waiting for resettlement in a new country. Blaise migrated to Australia in 2011 after completing his undergraduate degree in Tanzania. Blaise has worked in Community Development for over 10 years and is currently completing a Masters of International and Community Development.
Sani joined WorldShare in 2015, bringing 11 years’ experience in the charity sector. Her responsibilities include working with benefactors to help fund programs that support the most marginalised communities. Growing up in Zimbabwe, Sani witnessed first hand the transformative power of Christian aid and is passionate about helping the forgotten. Previously Sani worked for Charles Sturt University, Plan International and Anglicare Victoria. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Public Administration and a Masters in Business Administration.
Gerald is the Director of Rassure, an airlines revenue assurance service organisation. He founded Sussex Partners, formed with the goal of helping clients, investors and partners in "Building Sustainable Futures". His focus is to unlock the value that is trapped in sectors of the Australian economy due to history, poor business models or out-of-date market structures. Gerald started his consulting career in the Australian offices of McKinsey & Co and after eight years finished as Director of Organisation Systems Integration. Gerald holds an MBA from Stanford University. Gerald joined the WorldShare Board in 2001.
Joseph is the Senior Pastor at New Life Christian & Apostolic Church. He is strongly involved in overseas mission, particularly in supporting ministers’ and leaders training. Joseph was previously the Senior Minister for 25 years of Waterfront Christian Church in Geelong. Joseph has been on the Board of WorldShare since 2012.
Jo is a director of a charity, specialising in marketing and fundraising. She holds an Executive Master of Business Administration and Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management both from the Australian Catholic University. Jo joined the WorldShare Board in May 2017.
Victoria brings experience in strategy development, organisation design, program management and change management. She is a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group advising ASX top 200 clients across industrial goods, consumer goods, telecommunications and media, airlines and public sector. She has held various roles with Save the Children, the United Nations Commission on International Trade and other education and social services non-government organisations. Victoria holds a Masters of Public Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Commerce and Laws from the University of New South Wales. Victoria joined the WorldShare Board in May 2017.
John is the National Ministry Director (COO) of Alpha Australia. John has 17 years’ experience providing leadership in the "for purpose" sector with strengths in people management, international partnering, networking, innovative solution design and strategic thinking. He is inspired by working in cross-cultural environments, designing new strategies and developing leadership talent. John has previously held roles at Mission Australia, Anglicare, World Vision Australia and Habitat for Humanity Australia. John joined the WorldShare Board in May 2017.
Craig practicing as a barrister based in Sydney. Previously Craig worked in management, social work and family therapy. Craig has been a long-time supporter of WorldShare. Craig joined the WorldShare Board in May 2017.
Stuart Harris is a passionate communicator, and has an extensive career in marketing and the creative arts. He is the General Manager of the Australian Christian Channel (ACCTV) and was previously Country Manager for Christian Vision (CV). Prior roles include operating a creative media agency, product marketing for Apple and he has produced and directed film and tv production both locally and internationally. He’s also co-founder of Love in Action, a creative brand that tells engaging stories of hope through print and screen media. Stuart joined the WorldShare Board in 2012.
Peter is the Director of Finance and Operations at Baptist World Aid, a position he has held since 2009. He has more than 25 years of business and financial management experience in corporate and not-for-profit sectors, including extensive experience in strategic planning, change management, and organisational development. Peter holds a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Marketing, and a Master of Strategic Organisational Development. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants, a Certified Professional of the Australian Human Resources Institute, and a member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia. Peter joined the WorldShare board in March 2017.
Krystal is an Evaluation Specialist Consultant in the International Development space. Her previous roles include Research Specialist with World Vision International, as well as Field Partnerships Advisor with World Vision Australia. Krystal's work has taken her to many countries across Africa and the Pacific, and she has lived in both Uganda and Solomon Islands. Prior to her roles with World Vision, Krystal worked with refugees recently migrated to Melbourne. Krystal holds a Master of Evaluation from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Social Science (International Development) from RMIT University as well as a Bachelor of Laws/Arts from Monash. Krystal joined the WorldShare Board in May 2017.
Sandy has worked in the financial advice industry for the last 16 years. She is a people leader with experience in building and developing teams that consistently achieve at a high level whilst maintaining a passion for what they do. Sandy also has experience in project and change management for transformative change within businesses. She was previously the Head of Advice and Practice Solutions at IOOF Group. Prior to this role, she was the Senior Manager of Advice Solutions at Shadforth Financial Group, Sydney and Manager of Practice Solutions, Sovereign Assurance Ltd in Auckland NZ. Sandy joined the WorldShare Board in May 2017.
