HELP GIVE VULNERABLE CHILDREN FOOD, SHELTER, AND HOPE FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE
Right now, there are millions of children in the DR Congo like Marie.
Children who have been forced to flee for their lives and are currently living in displacement camps without enough food, water, or shelter, and traumatised by the horrors they’ve seen.
But your generosity can change that!
Your support can provide kids like Marie with a safe place to go, food to eat, and a real reason to hope for a brighter future.
The DR Congo is currently facing one of the most harrowing – and under-reported – humanitarian crises in recent memory.
A civil war has forced more than 7.1 million people to flee their homes into internally displaced person (IDP) camps around the capital city of Goma (where our ministry partners live and serve).
According to the UN, there are more than 2.8 million children like Marie who are facing daily atrocities as a result of the armed conflict. This, along with impacts of severe ongoing food shortages and disease outbreaks, has led the UN to declare that the DR Congo is one of the worst places in the world to be a child right now.**
“Children here are dying from lack of food and clean water to drink… others are getting illnesses and can’t get treatment… many children have dropped out of school and spend their days begging for food.”
In the face of this incredible and increasing need, our partners in the DR Congo (as well as our partners across the world) are providing vulnerable children (and their families) with nutritious meals, clean water, shelter, specialised trauma counselling, and the chance for a great education to give them their best hope for a brighter future.
You can be God’s hands for vulnerable children like Marie in the DR Congo and across the world!
Please give generously towards our $400,000 goal, to help kids survive through crisis, heal from their trauma, and have hope for a brighter future.
