Week 1

Sat 1st – DR Congo We pray to our Sovereign Lord that the rate of new Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo reduces significantly, and that the level of violence, fear, and displacement mercifully and swiftly abates through His grace.

Sun 2nd – Uganda Praise the Lord for the three churches that were planted last year as a result of our local partner’s evangelistic activities. We pray that they continue to grow and share the good news of our Saviour with new believers.

Mon 3rd – India Pray for the family of our local partner’s staff-member, Mrs J. Her son and daughter are showing signs of a rare genetic disorder. We ask for God to strengthen them both physically, bless the therapies they receive, and provide healing and hope.

Tue 4th – Indonesia Many children in our program are Iron deficient. Please pray that the current Iron Supplement program is successful in allowing students to study, prevent the current levels of Anaemia, and help the teenagers to have a healthy future.

Wed 5th – Cambodia Join us in prayer as the Grade-12 students in our partner’s school undertake important national examinations in August. May their efforts be blessed Lord, so they can further develop their potential.

Thu 6th – Uganda Praise God for WorldShare’s ministry partner which is celebrating 21 years of serving vulnerable mothers and children through their pregnancy crisis centre. We praise His guidance, provision and faithfulness over that time and into the future.

Fri 7th – DR Congo We ask God to protect two leaders of our local partner, who are stranded in Gisenyi, Rwanda, after the border was closed due to the Ebola outbreak.

Week 2

Sat 8th – Uganda Praise the Lord for all those serving faithfully at our local partner’s Health Centre, who each day boldly reveal and proclaim God’s eternal love to outcast young mothers, right when they need it most.

Sun 9th – DR Congo We ask God to bless the efforts of Mr F. and Mr S. of WorldShare’s local partner, who are helping co-ordinate the translation of the Bible into sign language, to be completed very soon.

Mon 10th – Cambodia Pray for ten parents of WorldShare sponsored children who recently lost their jobs in Phnom Penh and other provinces. As a result, they have returned to their hometowns and are facing financial hardship. We ask that God would open new doors of opportunity for them, meet their daily needs, bless and guide them during this difficult season, and give them wisdom, strength, and hope for the future.

Tue 11th – Indonesia Please pray for the 36 savings groups operating across the country, run by WorldShare’s mission partner. Pray that they continue to be successful in helping families save money and overcome financial struggles, making a valuable difference for everyone in their communities.

Wed 12th – India We praise God for the graduating students who successfully passed their board examinations at the school run by our local partner. We pray for His blessing as they step forward into their pre-university education or embark upon their careers.

Thu 13th – DR Congo Let us continue to pray for the success of our local partner’s agriculture and chicken farming project. It is providing vital income to help them run their Centre for the Deaf.

Fri 14th – Uganda Praise God for Mrs W. who works at one of WorldShare’s local mission partners, as she continues to balance work, further study and caring for her extended family and who is driven by her strong faith in our Saviour.

Week 3

Sat 15th – DR Congo Our partners in the Congo are experiencing some of the most difficult times. Please pray for the Lord to continue to protect their staff and families and bless the programs that they are running.

Sun 16th – Uganda Praise God for the ongoing success of our partner’s livelihood project that is establishing village savings and loans (VSLA) groups and working to increase financial literacy among vulnerable families in rural communities.

Mon 17th – Indonesia Praise God for progress in processing children’s birth certificates in three rural villages in which our local partner is active, that are currently being finalised by the Population and Civil Registration Office of Southwest Sumba Regency.

Tue 18th – India Please pray for Mrs S. who works for our local partner, that God would provide for her needs, grant her family financial stability, and open up new opportunities before her. Pray also that the Lord would bless her with the gift of a child.

Wed 19th – Cambodia Pray for the 13 families of our sponsored children who recently gained training in micro-enterprise development and received start-up capital to strengthen their existing businesses or start new income-generating activities. This include raising pigs & chickens, selling fruit and fried-rice at school, and providing bicycle and motorcycle repair services. Pray that God will guide them in making wise decisions, help their businesses grow, and provide stable income for their families.

Thu 20th – DR Congo We pray for a rapid return to good health for Mr K. who works for our local partner and is suffering from kidney problems. May he find peace with the Lord as he makes a full recovery.

Fri 21st – Uganda Praise God for the young mothers who have recently returned home from our local partner’s centre and are now making an income thanks to the skills they learned through the vocational training they received there.

Week 4

Sat 22nd – Uganda Praise the Lord for the many youths who have been transformed with evangelism from WorldShare’s local mission partner through games and sport.

Sun 23rd – DR Congo We continue to pray for the trauma trainers of our local partner, as their work continues to make a difference. Please give them physical and emotional strength Lord as the demand for their expertise far exceeds their available capacity.

Mon 24th – Cambodia Pray for wisdom and discernment for our local partner’s program staff as they identify and select additional families of sponsored children to participate in micro-enterprise development training. Pray that God will guide them in choosing families who will benefit most from this opportunity and empower these families to build sustainable livelihoods in order to create a brighter future for their children.

Tue 25th – India Please pray for Ms D. of our local mission partner, as she seeks a Christian life partner. May the Lord guide her steps, grant wisdom and patience, and bless her with a loving, God-fearing, suitable companion in His perfect time.

Wed 26th – Indonesia Please pray for the local agents who have been conducting home visits to the families our local partner is assisting. Pray for calmness, clarity and wisdom in their conversations, and that their presence brings genuine encouragement as well as Godly integrity to every household they visit.

Thu 27th – DR Congo We pray for our Saviour to open the way for our local partner’s deaf community to fully understand the issues of the Ebola outbreak. This is because it is difficult to strictly apply preventative measures because the deaf have limited access to information due to a lack of communication tools. We pray for this to change quickly.

Fri 28th – Uganda Pray for wisdom, encouragement and strength for the field workers of WorldShare’s two mission partners in the country. As they face daily challenges, let them trust in the love of the Lord to provide and protect.

Week 5

Sat 29th – Cambodia Please pray for Mrs C. a program co-ordinator at our local partner, wo has been suffering the effects of very low blood pressure. May the medicine that she is taking and her faith in our Saviour revitalise her. May the Lord bless her with renewed health, comfort, and inner peace during this difficult time.

Sun 30th – DR Congo We praise God for the hard-working medical professionals at our local partner’s hospital in Goma. In addition to treating those who have been wounded by war, they are increasingly providing care to Ebola sufferers too. Protect them Lord.

Mon 31st – Indonesia Pray for the ongoing church network partnership meetings, learning and reviewing lessons from the Stations of Generosity module. Please pray that with God firmly at the centre of this learning, church leaders will be guided in their development efforts, to transform their congregations and benefit entire communities.
