Week 1

Fri 1st – DR Congo Praise God for the peace deals recently signed between the DR Congo, the M23 and Rwanda. Pray that everyone keeps to the agreements and (while there is a long way to go) that this might be the first step towards peace in the region.

Sat 2nd – Uganda Praise God for our ministry partner’s recent evangelistic activities, which saw 165 people receive Jesus as their Lord and saviour.

Sun 3rd – India Praise God for the teachers, social workers, and program staff who work tirelessly to support the children and families in our programs. Pray that God would continue to give them strength, wisdom, and encouragement in their mission.

Mon 4th – Indonesia Praise God that the two new members of our partner’s Sumba team are settling in well. Continue praying for them to find a final field staff member to help with their families program.

Tue 5th – Cambodia Pray for the boy in our partner’s program whose father was recently killed when a vehicle crashed into his tuk-tuk. It is now just the boy and his mum, who suffers from chronic illness and currently has no means of income. Pray for provision and peace for their family at this time of grief and need and pray for our partner as they support them.

Wed 6th – Uganda Praise God for our ministry partner in Uganda who is celebrating 20 years of serving vulnerable mothers and children through their pregnancy crisis centre. Praise God for His guidance, provision and faithfulness over all these years.

Thu 7th – DR Congo Keep praying that banks in Goma would reopen soon. They’ve been closed since January (when soldiers first entered the city) and people have been unable to access their money this whole time! Praise God that our partners have been able to access our financial support through banks just across the border in Rwanda and so been able to continue providing emergency support to the most vulnerable people in the community.

Week 2

Fri 8th – Uganda Praise God for His provision of a new National Director for our ministry partner. This comes as an awesome answer to prayer after a long search for a suitable replacement for Vivian, who has served as founder and director for the past 20 years.

Sat 9th – DR Congo Alongside all the immediate threats from this conflict, our partners keep expressing to us the amount of trauma that everyone in Goma is suffering from. Pray that God would pour down His peace on our partners and the people of Goma and help them to reconcile with the horrors they’ve seen and experienced.

Sun 10th – Cambodia Recently there was an armed conflict along the Cambodian/Thailand border which resulted in death of a Cambodian soldier. The political situation of both countries remains tense, and both countries have mobilised their troops to the border. Pray that God would give wisdom to the leaders of both Cambodia and Thailand to find a peaceful solution for both countries.

Mon 11th – Indonesia It’s continuing to be very rainy in Sumba and there’s many cases of malaria amongst the families we serve. Pray for quick and complete healing for everyone who’s infected (particularly the children, who are more vulnerable) and pray for protection over our partners and the rest of the community from further spread of the disease.

Tue 12th – India Pray for the congregations and leaders of the local village churches in the communities we serve. Praise God for their faith and commitment in the face of many challenges.

Wed 13th – DR Congo Praise God for the safe return of the son of one of our ministry partner’s team, who was recently kidnapped from their home by bandits.

Thu 14th – Uganda Praise God that (our partner’s livelihood manager) Barbra’s mother is now cancer-free after the success of her recent surgery! Praise God for answering our prayers and pray for her ongoing recovery.

Week 3

Fri 15th – DR Congo Praise God that our partner has been able to reopen their primary school in the Mugunga displaced people camp. Praise God that many children have already returned to school and keep praying for the safety of those families that they haven’t yet been able to contact.

Sat 16th – Uganda Praise God for Vivian’s 20 years of service and that she can now retire with peace of mind, knowing that her position as director has been filled. Pray for God’s guidance over her as she navigates this transition and new stage of life.

Sun 17th – Indonesia Pray for safety, learning and good fellowship for the Sumba team as they travel to Bali this month for training and development.

Mon 18th – India Many families in the communities that we serve lack proper identification documents. This causes many challenges in terms of accessing housing, services, loans, etc. Pray that local political leaders can prioritise the welfare of these vulnerable communities and help get the documents they need.

Tue 19th – Cambodia Continue praying for the teacher at one of our partner schools who recently had surgery after long suffering from pain in her legs. Pray for her full recovery and healing, and that she might be able to return to the classroom soon.

Wed 20th – DR Congo Praise God for all the doctors, nurses, and social workers at our ministry partner’s hospital who continue to tirelessly support wounded victims of the ongoing violence.

Thu 21st – Uganda There are increased cases of livestock being stolen in the Bunambutye community where we serve. Pray that God would protect vulnerable families from theft that could threaten their livelihoods.

Week 4

Fri 22nd – Uganda Praise God for the 10 girls at our partner’s pregnancy crisis centre who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour over the last two months.

Sat 23rd – DR Congo Continue praying for protection over the street youths in our partner’s Uamusho group. Many young people in Goma, especially those living on the streets, are currently being forcefully ‘recruited’ into military ‘service’ (by both sides of the conflict).

Sun 24th – Cambodia Praise God for giving our partner’s program staff energy and protection as they have been preparing annual updates for the 175 children in their sponsorship program. This involves visiting and interviewing the families and collecting all their information into the documents (and also often translating from Khmer to English).

Mon 25th – India Pray for the children and families in our sponsorship program. Pray that they would experience stability and improved living conditions through the program, but also that they might find peace, hope and spiritual growth as well.

Tue 26th – Indonesia Pray for the child protection and human trafficking awareness campaigns that are being run this month in the communities we serve.

Wed 27th – DR Congo Praise God the rebuilding of our partner’s church for the deaf (which was bombed during the battle for the city) has been completed.

Thu 28th – Uganda Praise God for the three churches that have been planted in recent weeks as a result of our partner’s evangelistic activities.

Week 5

Fri 29th – Cambodia Praise God for blessing our partner’s recent provision of food packages to four regional schools in need. Praise God in particular for the good collaboration between our partners, the schools and a number of local authorities.

Sat 30th – DR Congo Pray that God would bless the emergency and trauma relief activities our partner is currently running for the deaf community.

Sun 31st – Uganda Praise God for the safety of young girls in labour and delivery at our partner’s centre over the last 20 years. This is in contrast to the high maternal mortality rate in Uganda.
