After two years of devastating conflict, there’s finally a chance to bring help and hope to the people of Gaza.
A ceasefire has opened the way for humanitarian aid to reach millions of people at a scale we haven’t seen since the most recent outbreak of conflict began. And through our global alliance of WorldShare partners, we now have the opportunity to get emergency food and water to families who desperately need it.
As I’m sure you’ve seen in the news over the past two years, the situation in Gaza is heartbreaking.
Millions of people have been displaced, tens of thousands have died. Today, more than half a million people are trapped in famine1 and in the hardest-hit areas like Gaza City, nearly one in five children under five is acutely malnourished.2 Families are going days without eating, while parents watch their children waste away.
The need is desperate. The window is open. Now is the time to act.
Through our global alliance, we’re working with teams on the ground in Gaza right now who can deliver food and water to families who need it most.

• Clean water for communities (where 90% of people currently don’t have access to it)

- Praise God for a ceasefire (after two years of devastating conflict). Praise God that it has opened up an opportunity to get humanitarian aid to these families. Pray that the ceasefire would hold and that food, water and emergency aid can reach these families as quickly and effectively as possible.
- Praise God for our local Christian partners on the ground. Praise God for their faithfulness in serving their neighbours throughout the crisis, and pray that God would give them protection, wisdom and stamina, as they strive to make the most of this opportune moment in time.
- Pray for the people in Gaza that are suffering. Pray for those facing starvation and malnutrition, pray that the food and water and aid can reach them quickly and have incredible impact on their wellbeing. And pray also for families who are grieving, for those who have been displaced and who have lost loved ones during two years of conflict. Pray that God would give them His peace and comfort, and restore hope in their hearts.
