Meet Vivian Kityo, Founder and Director of Wakisa Ministries
Visiting September 2019
We are delighted to announce that Vivian Kityo, Director and Founder of Wakisa Ministries, will be joining us in September 2019.
Vivian will be sharing with us the critical work of Wakisa and how they provide shelter, care and vocational training to young mothers in Uganda.
Be inspired by Vivian and how she reflects Jesus’ love to these young girls while living out our mission to restore hope and life to the outcast and forgotten.
We want to share this visit with as many people as possible and would love for you to meet her.

Restoring Hope and Life to Outcast Young Mothers in Uganda.
WorldShare has partnered with Wakisa Ministries since 2008 to provide shelter and pre- and post-natal care to young girls with unplanned pregnancies in Uganda. These girls are often victims of abuse and subsequently abandoned by their families to avoid shame.
Wakisa is the only place that will welcome them in.
In addition to shelter and medical care, Wakisa also supports these young mums with counselling, training in vocational skills, avenues for returning to school and (where appropriate) help with reconciliation back into their families.
Wakisa are currently undertaking the construction of a new centre, which will increase the capacity to provide shelter and care for young mothers, as well as opening up the vocational training to the wider community of mums.
