Faces of Resilience – DR Congo

Home » Blog » Faces of Resilience – DR Congo

As we wrap up our ‘Faces of Resilience” photo series 📷, we invite you to journey with us to the Democratic Republic of Congo 🇨🇩, one of the five poorest nations in the world. According to #Worldbank, an estimated 74.6% of Congolese people lived on less than $2.15 a day in 2023.

This week’s collection brings you powerful images from two remarkable communities in Goma, DRC: an internally displaced people (IDP) camp and a deaf community.

In the IDP camp, we witnessed the strength and hope of families striving to survive and rebuild their lives. In the deaf community, we met individuals who face daily stigma and rejection due to their deafness. Despite the societal challenges, their resilience shines brightly, breaking barriers, and finding new ways to have their voices heard.

Join us in celebrating these courageous souls who embody the essence of resilience.

We hope you enjoyed ‘Faces of Resilience’ over the last five weeks, thank you for following us all the way. We hope that these beautiful images and heartfelt stories have touched and inspired you in a way that God intended. Blessings to you all!
